In conjunction with International Women’s Day 2011, Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia (OGSM) will carry out 1-day FREE health conference.

This conference will 3 different age groups: Young, Adult and ‘Golden Age’ which cover key medical topics specific to women’s health, these including Beauty and Weight Management, Menstruation and Hygiene, Reproductive Issues among Teenagers, Psychosocial Behaviours, Beauty after Birth, Aesthetics, Common Gynaecology Problems, How to Maintain Marital Harmony, Women’s Cancer Detection, Menopause Management, Heart Attacks and Stroke, Detection and Prevention of Dementia.

It took me so much courage to join such event, Single Mingle Event by Resort World Genting on 19 February 2011. A sincere thanks to her, Rave whom I knew through facebook, she is the one who keeps on encouraging me to join the event.
For many, it sounds “bad” (in the sense that, you are single and some might think that you are desperately need a boyfriend/girlfriend) to join such event especially during the month of February (love in the air).
Well, I appreciate the organizers and sponsors Pedas Springs - The Wholesome Family SPA, Fujifilm, The Body Shop Malaysia, and Famous Amos Malaysia for making the event a success.
Some of the thoughts after joining the events (P/S it is my own point of view and I hope it won’t disturb anyone’s feeling):
(1) A big token of appreciation to Resort World Genting. I met new friends through this event, and this is more than enough where I can expand my social networking)
(2) I disagreed on the such kind of ‘pairing’ where organizer paired for us our partner. I would prefer one which all of the participants getting to know each other, perhaps an ice-breaking session should be conducted, before mingle around the resort.
(3) Thanks to my partner of the day, aziri who is gentleman. He took care of me on the day!
(4) A short event like that was a bit rush, we didn’t have enough time to know each other deeper! Perhaps, accommodation can be provided to the participants in future.
(5) Nice to meet all the participants on the day, you all rocks!
(6) Touched by my WorldCard Malaysia’s friends who were so supportive. The most touching part was: They waited us for quite a long time at the “love bridge” at the Patio.
(7) Thanks sponsors for the attractive prizes, at least, every participant brought back prizes.
Last of not least, I wish everyone find his/her true love, of course, we shall come back for more events by RWG in the future.
First of all, thanks Suzanne Tan, my lovely and pretty housemate who told me about the workshop while we went for jogging last month.
Yes, this is the first workshop that I attended for 2011! The Shape Workshop: Express Beauty & Fitness organized by SHAPE MALAYSIA in collaboration with Asience, Bobbi Brown, Fitness First, FreshKon and Nestle Fitnesse.
At first session, the “Express fitness with fitness first”, we experienced the “fitness” together. I learnt that there are 5 key elements of fitness: strength, core, cardio, flexibility and balance! We checked our fitness here by exploring push ups, plank position, star pose, sit&reach and treadmill! Out of all these, I like treadmill the most! ***how good if I can have one in my house next time***After that, we enjoyed the Nestle Fitnesse cornflakes which are my favourite cereal since last year! Finally, I get myself shower at Fitness First, wonderful!
The next session was the “express beauty with bobbi brown”. For this session, it was a sharing of the simple make-up within shortest time, perhaps after gym. Normally girls spend a lot of time in make-up! As for me myself, I am “lazy” yet wish to look great! So, such simple make-up is important for me! AND, I am blessed to be given a chance to be the “model” (wahaha, lol)! Everyone look great after make-up!
The wonderful thing about this workshop is, all participants seemed to be enjoyed it so much! Of course, the lucky draws are very attractive! If I am not mistaken, everyone brought back lucky draws! Of course, it was another lucky day for CF~
***I was in about to buy myself contact lenses last few days, but at last I didn’t. AND, I miss out MALAYA OPTICAL’s launching event which depressed me a lot and a lot! ANYWAY, IT BELONGS WITH ME (haha, YOU BELONG WITH ME-TAYLOR SWIFT)
I shouted when the organizer mentioned that there ARE 5 lucky draws from freshkon! I GET IT! Haha, given 2 boxes of freshkon contact lense, and participants are entitled to 1 box of it, I have 3 boxes!
One more thing was the goodies bags are amazing! Thank you Asience, Bobbi Brown, Fitness First, FreshKon and Nestle Fitnesse! I hope more upcoming workshop like this will be organized by SHAPE MALAYSIA!
It was the first time that I went for ‘FENG SHUI TALK” at KLCC!
Getting the 2 x tickets, I went there alone, because I don’t want to miss the opportunity that was given to me to attend such event!! AND, I was happy to meet blogger cum friends, Kelly there! We sat together!
Thanks worldcard Malaysia for the free gift, FENG SHUI WORLD magazine and of course, the tickets! Get my ‘LUCKY CHARM”, a gift from Lilian Too, the ox amulet to protect myself for the whole 2011! Another one, I remembered my beloved mum, so one amulet for her! Hoping mum be blessed during this metal rabbit year!
It was the 11 years that Lilian Too gave this kind of talk! For her, she wish to share her knowledge on Feng Shui with everyone who is interested. Famous Master Yap, who is her friends since teenager, came to support the talk as well!
In perspective of Feng Shui, year 2010-2014 seem to be disastrous to the world, believe it or not, depend on individual. Those earthquakes, floods etc which happened worldwide last year (2010) reflects!
Famous Lilian mentioned: “Feng Shui is the art of placement”. During the talk, I gained some knowledge on path chee chart, flying star chart and 3 dimensions.
